Habia is the government appointed sector skills body and industry authority for hair, beauty, nails, spa therapy, barbering and African type hair. We are part of the SkillsActive Group, licensed by the UK Government as the Sector Skills Council for active sport, leisure and wellbeing, including the sport, fitness, outdoor activities, playwork, caravan and hair and beauty sectors. Habia's role is to create the standards that form the basis of all qualifications in hair and beauty including NVQs, SVQs, Apprenticeships, and Foundation degrees, as well as industry codes of practice.
