Apprenticeships offer a way of training through a work based approach. This means that an individual can train ‘off the job’ within one of our training centres and then work in a salon for the remainder of the week, gaining valuable skills while earning a minimum of £2.60 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week, including your training day.
Apprenticeship programmes comes in two levels; level 2, which would be classed as the Apprenticeship route and level 3, which is known as an Advanced Apprenticeship. Each ‘framework’ also includes Functional Skills at levels 1 and 2 respectively. Functional Skills covers the literacy and number skills needed to work in the Hair and Beauty Industry and both are fully integrated in the programme.
Entry requirements for the Apprenticeship programme are GCSE grades relevant to the level of Apprenticeship on offer; e.g. an Advanced Apprentice would need Literacy and Numeracy Skills of at least a Grade C. Our recruitment staff can advise which programme would be the most suitable for you during your interview.
Once inducted onto our programme you will work to a learning plan which takes into account your individual needs. We will work with you to achieve your learning aim and support you as you enter into a career in a very challenging and exiting industry.
