What the incentive is
Government grants are available to help small and medium-sized businesses take on apprentices, with a new incentive for an apprentice starting in October 2026. The payment is intended to offset the early costs of bringing someone new into the business while they train.
Amounts, eligibility and deadlines are set by government and change from time to time. Oracle's recruitment team keeps track of what is currently available and will confirm exactly what applies to your business before you commit to anything.

Why employers take on apprentices
More than 150 local employers work with Oracle. Taking on an apprentice is cost efficient compared with recruiting already-qualified staff, and it means training someone to your own standards, systems and customer experience from the start. Many Oracle learners go on to build long careers with the business that first employed them.
