Apprenticeship Programmes

Signing up for an apprenticeship program allows you to get valuable training from within the work place while also being on campus at our training centres 1 day a week to participate in your “Off the job Training”, this option offers you employment right from the word go.

Becoming An Apprentice

If you are considering applying to one of our apprenticeship programmes there is some information which you may want to know. We offer Apprenticeship programmes for Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Nail services. Due to the new Apprenticeship Standards being rolled out, all our Hairdressing learners are now on the new standards. This is a high level standard than the previous framework and takes individuals between eighteen months and two years to complete. At the end of the programme learners sit an end point assessment to show they can meet or exceed the standard by gaining a pass or distinction grade. Learners achieving the standard can then access their level 3 qualification through an Advanced Apprenticeship or Advanced learning loan pathway.

Our Beauty Framework programmes start at Level 2 Apprenticeships and can progress to Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeships in either body therapy or nail services. Learners on average take between 12 and fourteen months to complete each level.

First Hand Experience

You will be employed by a salon for a minimum of 30 hours per week (maximum 40) and will as part of your employment attend one day ‘off the job’ training a week here at Oracle.

Functional Skills

Part of your programme could see you raise your level in English and Maths by completing a higher level qualification in Functional Skills.

Earn While You Learn

All Apprentices are paid at least the minimum Apprenticeship wage for both working in the salon and training in Oracle
